At KC Yoga Center, We use breathing practices, mindful movement, meditation techniques and deep relaxation  to help relieve symptoms of chronic pain and aid in the overall well being of our clients.  Although, we do not diagnose or treat disease, chronic illness or pain we often travel with a client to visit their health practitioner.  Because of this, our clients experience a better integration of therapy while fostering a collaborative therapeutic plan specifically tailored to each individual's needs.

Around 18 months ago I was experiencing some health issues, and I knew yoga would help. I started taking private sessions with Kelly and have seen a major improvement in my flexibility, movement, health, and attitude! I have always enjoyed yoga for the relaxation and for the building of core strength. But after 20 years in the military I also have back pain that limits my movement, which I go to a physical therapy and a chiropractor to correct. At KC Yoga Center they incorporate some of the same strengthening and stretching exercises into their program that are recommended by my therapist and chiropractor.
At the beginning of the classes the instructor always asks what part of our bodies are in pain or need help. With that knowledge they are able to individualize the movements to each person. At KC Yoga Center, the instructors really want you to get the full benefit of the classes and really care about how you are doing. So, KC Yoga completes my total rehabilitation with meditation, strength, flexibility and fun. Can’t wait to see the new classes that they have planned.

My yoga class of choice these days is the Tuesday morning Therapeutic class with Kelly. Because I am dealing with hip and other joint pains, the components of this class are not only soothing, but therapeutically  beneficial. What sets this class apart from others of its kind, however, is the expertise and solicitousness of Kelly.  She has the uncanny ability to personalize the class for each participant and is skilled in helping each individual get the greatest possible benefit.

KC Yoga Center Rocks! Yoga isn’t just for the rubber-bodied. Therapeutic yoga opens the yoga experience to those of us with less than perfect or injured physiques. Back pain, neck pain, stiffness: Kelly is incredibly knowledgeable about helping one overcome discomfort through gentle poses and appropriate stretches. This class is well worth attending for anyone interested in improving flexibility and releasing stiffness. Yoga for the regular person! It’s helped me tremendously with chronic back pain. I made sure to attend a class before going on vacation – made the plane ride more bearable.
