In this workshop we will explore postural assessments of the upper body and learn therapeutic applications using the Rope wall, yoga sandbags and gravity to correct dysfunctional patterns in the body to release and strengthen muscles in the neck and shoulder area.. YB Yoga's first 200 Hr. TT module open to all students interested in learning the way of teaching and practicing confidence, clarity and compassion in Vinyasa Yoga. Flow yoga is commonly misunderstood as a modern way to get fit with aggressive movements, breathing and speed.

Exchange a full-body Thai massage with your sweety, friend or family member- no prior experience necessary! You and your partner will take turns being the giver and the receiver, while massage therapist / yoga teacher Leslie Blodgett provides a model and easy instructions.
Thai massage is done on a mat on the floor using ancient concepts similar to yoga. Dress comfortably in sweatpants and T-shirt or yoga clothes. Bring your yoga mat (or borrow the ones at the studio) and a towel.
The giver takes the receiver through the body's full range of motion in a methodology that renews energy flow and holistic health. That's why some people call it the lazy man's yoga!

Come explore your inner mermaid and take your yoga practice to the water with SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Yoga. KC Yoga Center is partnering with L.L. Bean this summer to offer yoga classes on the water at Shawnee Mission Lake ending on the shore with a picnic lunch (bring your own picnic). Classes are 90 minutes long and include an intro to stand up paddle boarding, stand up paddle board, a short paddle out, yoga class on the water and a short paddle back to shore. Class sizes are small with a maximum of 5 participants, register for the class for yourself, with a friend or with a group! Classes will be taught by SUP Yoga instructor Mindy Coulter, 200 HR RYT through KCYTT and SUP Yoga Certified through PaddleFit and Stoked Yogi in San Diego, CA.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class to complete on site paperwork. All participants must be able to swim. Minimum age is 12 and must be accompanied by a parent.
